National Panamanian award-winner, Luis Casal, is considered one of Panama's top violin/viola players. In the cause of promoting the folk violin music of Panama, he plays the compositions of the famous Panamanian violinist/flutist Artemio Cordova, one of the most prolific composers of this genre. With this homage to Córdova and the beautiful music of his native Panama,  Luis Casal embraces dance-like rhythms such as atravesaos, cumbias, danzón-cumbia, pasillos, polkas, puntos, and vals.
